Ms. Carmen Ogilvie-Galea has held various posts and positions since joining the Public Service in 2000. She started her career in the Public Service as a Principal and later as a Senior Principal at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs until 2004. Following this she held the position of Assistant Director (EU Affairs) in the Ministry for Investment, Industry and IT until 2009 when she was appointed as Head (OP I) at the Planning & Priorities Co-Ordination Department. Ms. Ogilvie-Galea was appointed as Director (Corporate Services) at the Ministry for Gozo in 2011, a post which she held until 2016 when she was appointed as Director General (Operations). In February 2024 she was appointed as Director General (Gozo General Hospital). Recently she has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer at the Gozo General Hospital. Ms. Ogilvie-Galea graduated in Economics from the University of Malta. She is married and has two daughters
